The Greatest

Great, I remembered, I was in the village and remembered to get a shot of this view again... I took it last year too but notice a lot of it has been cut back to reveal the stonework.

We were in't village for Moorflix's Season 9 opening film, The Greatest Showman, a film I chose not to see although Mrs C and Ms H chose to back in January... however, we like to kick things off in a big way so how could it not be The Greatest...

It was doors open at 7.30pm  for start at 8pm, but there were people at the door at 7pm eeek.. more at 7.15pm, by 7.45pm we barely had any seats free... in addition to most of our regulars, there were guests from further afield, with kids. This sums up the success the film had when released, despite mediocre reviews... they went to see it anyway again and again, then bought the soundtrack.

So I enjoyed the film, primarily the songs and routines but with a mix of ages from 5 to 70, there's often moments which just make community film showings just the best... watching films with people who know each other and how they might react or say something, then everyone laughs... there were several of these tonight, often the kids saying something funny in response to the film... warm glows all round.

And we top up our warm glows (and coffers) to keep our motivation through this next season... next!
