Broccoli

One of the broccoli plants in the greenhouse has produced an early head. None of the other five are showing signs of following suit. It will make a pleasant change from the pak choi and baby beet leaves I have on alternate days.

This could be the last day of the wonderful weather we have been enjoying. I managed to get a big cleanup job done in a wild corner of the garden. There’s still a lot to do, but it will be a bit of relief to take a break from it.

This evening the sky has scattered clouds, but I can clearly see the moon accompanied by Venus, Jupiter, Saturn and Mars, all strung out in a curving line.
