Glen Girnaig

We took one of our favourite walks, "The Bealach" from Killicrankie, over Bealach na Searmoin below Ben Vrackie, down to Pitlochry, and back along Loch Faskally and the River Garry.

Usually we take a shortcut from Moulin without going all the way down to Pitlochry, but this time we took the full official route and felt we'd walked more than enough by the end. The weather was fine, and the route was more popular that we've seen before. We passed several groups doing it in the opposite direction. More often we do it in poor weather and have the tracks to ourselves.

Two extras from the woods near Killicrankie. One of the many fungi we saw, and a milestone near the Garry footbridge. I guess the rough track above the Garry must once have been the main road.
