Bonneville 60.

We've been to Uttoxeter racecourse this weekend, for the 60th anniversary
of the first Triumph Bonneville motorbike .
Production started on 4th September, 1958 and the name is still used today, on the modern machines.
We were asked to take my really rough, barn find Bonnie to the event and couldn't get near it, for excited enthusiasts !
Mine was built on the 2nd day of production, 5th Sept. 1958 and was the 33rd model off the line.
It is the earliest Bonneville that has been found in the world.
The bikes in the photo are all beautifully restored and between them
are probably worth over £120000 !
A great band played last night and we had a few drinks.
Lots of bikes and a safe trip home finished off a wonderful weekend.
