Springtime Kowhai

Blooming profusely in my garden, I treasure this particular tree, a New Zealand native. My dear little fox terrier Maggy is buried underneath, dying just before the February ‘11.
I’m still thankful she didn’t survive to face the quakes - she was elderly.
