vines and orchards

Before moving to hills 'suburbia', we lived in the Bickley Valley and it is still a joy to drive through the valley and with the seasons watch the vines and orchards come into leaf and then fruit as summer approaches.
Home to robust reds, beautiful bubbles, wonderful whites and perfumed pinks (enough of the alliteration I hear you yell) the valley has asparagus, vegetable and mushroom farms, summer stone fruit and winter citrus, apple and pear orchards and sensibly retained native forest that protect the valley from erosion and act as water catchment zones.

Oh and there is a chocolatier too.

A best kept secret for decades and now being discovered by those who live 'on the flat'!
