There used to be a clay mouse too, but it was blown off the roof years ago.
The cottage is also special because it was occupied by Joan Clark and her husband Henry, and their son. She was reputedly the last fishwife of St. Andrews. She was born in the 1850s and died in 1927. They lived upstairs; her barrow and his fishing gear were stored downstairs.
