Wanderings & Witterings

Cathedral

After an evening docked at Rouen, we got ashore for a walking tour of the city this morning, followed by some free time to explore on our own before our cruise continued downstream to Caudebec-en-Caux in the afternoon.

The highlight of the city is the 12th century cathedral (pictured), although there are several other places worthy of a visit. Thankfully, most of the key tourist attractions are within walking distance, so there was no sense of missing out when we set sail around 1pm.

The only down side, and it was a significant one, was that the cathedral is closed on Monday mornings, so we had to settle for external views.
