Solace Day 15 Legless!

There'll be a poor cow somewhere wondering where she left her legs!

This seat and table were on a patch of grass near where we had moored at the Marina.

An early morning for us as the engineer was arriving at 8.30am to do a routine service on our engine. We normally get packed up, all the cleaning and hoovering done and are off the boat by 9.30am This time we had to talk to the engineer about the service and write notes for the people who would be coming on the boat later in the day.

Also, another delaying factor was that this marina didn't have cleaners to do valeting so I had to be that bit more thorough.

It was a nice day and the journey home was going well. We were moving into the slip lane to go into Charnock Richard services when a Yorkshire terrier type dog, complete with lead ran down the slip lane and across the lanes on the M6, A van stopped ahead of us and the driver got out and ran down the hard shoulder to try and catch it. A van beside us stopped to slow down the traffic. Cars were speeding by in the other 2 lanes, I had to close my eyes. The Mate got out as we were actually off the motorway but the dog had gone too far for him to help. When he got back in the car he saw, in his wing mirror, the van driver carrying the dog safely back up to find its owner!

A strange thing had happened at home, there was a dead pheasant on our patio. Too far away from the window to have flown into it.

Many thanks to all those who have been following our journey and leaving comments, hearts and stars. So much appreciated at a time when I had no chance to do any commenting myself.
