Grey November Rain

Got as far as the Golf Course for our 9.13 tee time: the wind was driving the rain across the 18th green and showed no sign of relenting so, for the first time in ages we wimped out and retired to the Clubhouse for a cappucino and a catch-up.

Stopped on the way back to capture this scene that sums up the miserable weather we've had all day. Spent the afternoon printing off a slection of blips for te new photo frame that arrived at lunchtime.

Yesterday's Head-lines relate to a story in our local paper about the "mysterious disappearance" from a local garden of a head carved from a coconut, brought back by its owner as a souvenir from a holiday in the Philippines. Supposedly cursed, the head is reputed to ward off evil spirits and the owner is asking for its return (presumably from the high (rather than evil( - spirited bunch who might have taken it on their way back from the pub). This is what passes for news in these parts!
