Busy Buzzy Bee

A little worker bumblebee scattering pollen among the cineraria flowers. I don’t usually see workers until late spring, but it must be six or so weeks ago that a big queen was a regular visitor. No doubt she was early breeding her help.

Today is the 125th anniversary of the Act of Parliament that gave New Zealand women the right to vote, along with men, in the national elections.
