Caterpillar D6D...

A pretty busy day today. I made a trip over the border to Essex to see Jeremy, that's him driving the Cat... He is very well known in the local farming community mainly because he's a really nice bloke and also because he farms his land almost exclusively with crawler tractors.  This D6D is 40 years old and still in constant use, here mole draining at 26 inches through quite heavy ground.

This afternoon it was the usual trip with Margaret to Fulbourn for her volunteer job. I saw a John Deere 6300 rolling a field of much lighter land there, the fag-end of Storm Ali was blowing quite hard and really raising the dust making standing quite difficult. (extra) The other extra is Michael in his T8050 and Simba Cultipress over in Castle camps.
