Next Year's Garlic & Onions

The net curtains which were protecting this bed of garlic and onions (planted 7th October) have disintegrated in the wind. The garlic and onions are growing very well and hopefully will give a crop like these harvested in June this year!

In the background the Cavollo Nero (Tuscan Black Kale) is still growing well and some of it found it's way into my veggie stew for dinner, scrummy!

We've had rain all morning (and wind!!) so I spent most of the day painting our new study, making mincemeat and catching up on the laundry: I lead such a glamorous life ....
