Busy day, but all positive meetings/discussions (and much laughter around the award or not of brownie points) despite the wild winds and rain battering us from the outside.
A rather rushed personal tour of the exhibition at Talbot Rice Gallery before it closes in the next week or so....fascinating to hear such a talented knowledgeable person talk about how it was put together, all the artists’ thought processes behind their work and how it’s presented. Loved the experience. This was one part of the exhibition.....a bloodhound painting by a Dutch artist currently living in Glasgow placed next to a handwritten letter by King James VI of Scotland when he was 19, asking to be brought the ‘fairest, youngest and best’ bloodhound for him to go hunting....
On to a reception/relaunch event for the big development in the Old Royal Infirmary...lots of goodwill and excitement, even from someone who’s recently been somewhat obstructive in the run up to his retirement....grr!
Catch up over pasta and pizza with R....not had a chance for a chat since early summer so it was good to have even a bit of time and hear how things are going.
