Patch cabinet horror

Apparently somewhere is a redundant box which has to be removed. I am rather afraid to go near the patch cabinet and its suffusion of cables. Fortunately there is a lock on the side which when turned allows the panels to drop open. This is good as the cables block front access and the extremely limited space blocks rear access.
