Succulents

In addition to my cactus collection I have a small number of Succulents. There is a great variety of form and colour. The main difference between a cactus and a succulent is that in the former water is stored in an enlarged stem and splines have replaced the leaves whereas in the latter the plant has developed fleshy leaves which store the water and many do not have spines. One can expect some flowers in the Spring although they will not be spectacular.

This one is Echeveria runyonii Topsy-Turvy.
They grow in the wild mainly in Mexico south to the northern parts of South America.
