The apple and pear orchards of Kent

Thursday is walking day and H and l caught the train to Teynham in Kent and walked through the apple and pear orchards. These two fruit have been grown around here since the 16 century during the reign of Henry Vlll and it is big business now. We stopped to talk a one of the bosses who kindly gave us half a dozen gala apples each - delicious. Had lunch at a lovely old pub, The Ship Inn, in Conyer with half a pint of Adnams each (for constitutional reasons). This is the life.
