Mini Blipmeet

Well, it had been a shock when we got back from holiday and our central heating didn't work. The house was cold. The engineer came this morning and said "See if that fixes it".

I was glad he didn't take long as we had a mini blipmeet planned for this afternoon.

Long standing blipper, hebsauntyval, and hubby are in the area and I suggested meeting them at Larch Cottage Nurseries. She had suggested a garden centre location and I thought this one would be so unlike the usual nationals. It was! No lattes, no lighting, no power of any sort. They were suffering from a power cut! Never mind we sat and chatted, and chatted. We had taken kanyl along with us, as we do on Wednesdays, very appropriate as they have followed each others blips from very early on!

Eventually we asked if they could boil some water on gas and make us a cup of tea. They could, not that it mattered, we were enjoying the chat so much. When the cafe closed we went outdoors. C thought they had seen the garden centre before we arrived until he came out with us, then he realised it went on and on and on....

The thrilling bit was that I had seen a red squirrel which the others had missed, C said he had never, ever seen one but as we made our way back towards the exit it popped out again and ran up the path in full view of us all.

We arrived home to find the central heating still wasn't working and then the power went off!.Never mind it had been a lovely day! Using the clematis tangutica from the nursery for my blip! Nice late colour on a wild, windy day.
