Asbestos

For just over three months daughter J has been staying with us in the apartment; sleeping in a bed in the study. Repairs were begun in June to her house. As can often happen when the builders uncover the walls, a number of issues have reared their heads. One such was the exterior cladding of this end of the house. Fibrolite boards, which contains asbestos fibres. Building inspectors decided that it had to be removed and replaced with something else. The amount to be removed required the employment of specialists. I'm pleased about that as I would not have wanted our builder, a lovely man and a careful craftsman who oversaw the transformation of our Fidelis property, to be exposed. As can be seen, these two are not exposed at all.
