Key to my heart

Our house is made up of two halves. One half is over 200 years old and the other a 1950's extension.

Our bedroom is in the old original cottage and the lock on the bedroom door is by Archibald Kendrick & Sons of West Bromwich. This is the key to that lock.

According to Google, Archibald Kendrick & Sons was a family firm established in 1791 as a quality iron foundry and the company closed in 1991.

The lock has a rather fetching brass nameplate which may become a future blip.
