Only a Rose

Thanks to BikerBear for hosting today's Flower Friday.  It was pretty windy today but this rose in the front garden managed to stay still for a fraction of a second whilst I took a pic.

In other news: we thought it was time we tried out the wood burner we had installed back in the summer.  Apparently it has to be run-in, three small kindling fires first, so tonight was the first (see extra). Needless to say we are very pleased with it and looking forward to the cold weather when we can have a real blast.
