Beware Fallen Angel

This reminded me of a book about Venice called Beware Falling Angels about a church in Venice where the angels are deteriorating and falling off the roof.

This poor angel was on a grave in an old Christchurch Cemetery and was shaken from her plinth by the earthquakes that wrecked the city from 2010 onwards, with the most damage done on February 22 2011. So that day she along with many other memorials were shaken to the ground where many still lie.
