John Blackmore Deceased

It's been a very interesting day, as usual for a Friday we did the weekly shop at Sainsbury's and on the way home we stopped at Nosterfield End near Castle Camps for the viewing day for tomorrows auction, titled 'An Auction of a Lifetime's Collection'.

John Blackmore lived well into his nineties and during his life he amassed an amazing collection of rural and farming implements and machines as well as other 'interesting' artifacts... Unfortunately a great many of the lots were in a very poor state and it's hard to know who would want to buy them.

The respirator was in a box of WWII related objects, a reminder of some very desperate days...

The three extras give a feeling for the diversity of the lots being auctioned
