World record attempt

This morning I headed into the Quarry with over 1000 other people to try and break the world record for the number of people dancing the Charleston. We had a practice session first which I needed as I'd only tried to do it by copying the online video. Then we watched the 'professionals' do some dancing, had a break and another practice and then the world record attempt.
Unfortunately it was wet and cold but that didn't deter the 1096 people who turned up. The current record is 975. We all danced and it was great fun but we don't know if we've got the record yet and have to wait several weeks for them to check the video recordings to confirm everyone was doing it right. (That'll rule me out then!!)
This is a picture of some of the lovely dancers keeping us entertained and showing us the correct way to dance. They must have been freezing cold as it was raining and I was cold in a coat, jeans and a warm top.
