265/365 Kaptan June ! Meet this wonderful woman today sat in a shop in Dalyan Turkey, she is the world famous Kaptan June Haimoff MBE, in 1984 after travelling the world aged 64 she decided that the beach near Dalyan now know as "Turtle Beach" would be her home, not long after a German hotel chain got permission to build on a rare turtle nesting site, June managed to get the world involved in stopping the building and safeguarding the turtles future, it was truly an honour to meet & chat with her.
