My first post in ages!

This weekend  in Stirling it is the annual Bloody Scotland festival, celebrating crime writing including the burgeoning 'Tartan Noir' scene.  One of the regular features of the festival is a 5 a side football match between teams of crime writers from Scotland and England, and I went to see the game with a friend who'd come over from Canada specifically for the festival..  Today England came out the winners, after Scotland had an early goal controversially disallowed.  We also had a bit of drama when an enthusiastically-kicked football ended up heading straight towards us spectators and knocking a poor woman's gin right over! (I know!  What a waste!)

I suspect after that disputed goal, next year's match will end up being a bit of a grudge match!
