Please look at extra too!

I'm so excited about my morning at the Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge!  As I  started the drive around there was a heron crossing the road, I just sat and watched it stop in the grass on the other side of the road and cock it's head.  I could just tell it was about to make a quick jab, and yes, I have the whole series from capture to the swallowing of the poor mouse, alive.  I also spotted many nutria, geese, deer, a hawk, the first Sandhill Cranes migrating back.   Then on a trail I just discovered today, in a tree just off the trail,  a Great Horned Owl which I have posted in my Extra Photos.
