Sunday Sunshine

This morning it looked bleak out. So took it easy. Tidied my old photos (on moving, I reduced a life-time of photo albums to a couple of shoe boxes worth). Found some images I’d been looking for, including one of Café Kranzler, Berlin, taken in 1965.

Those were the days. As with all good things the wonderful iconic building no longer stands. Now it is a shadow of its former self perched above the shops. The old and new can be seen below:-

Kranzler was the place to meet. You could sit and chatter for hours. It was the best.

Then the weather cleared and we have blue skies, but much fresher temperatures. The sea glistens and is calm after the storms

So am now ensconced in a quiet corner of the tennis club lounge and shall absorb the contents of the Mail on Sunday. While Mr BB888 de-stresses on the courts
