Newcastle Downunder

Thank god for a good sunset

Was the comment that Arachne made when I showed her a shot of her climbing over the style at Maulinward, our fourth stop after the estuary, the school and the church near Durrusup.   I have therefore posted a most beautiful sunset we had to avoid any embarrassment.  This shot was taken as we were coming over the hill to Ahakista after partaking at the Chippy in Bantry.  We were completely distracted by a full orange moon rising in the East and stopped virtually in the middle of the road while Arachne, Freespiral and myself admired the scene.

Freespiral has summed up our day perfectly on her blip.  There were: a holy well, ring fort, Jeremy Irons tower, a 12 arched bridge in Ballydehob, a church with Harry Clarke stained glass windows, a yummy lunch, amazing 360 views, a very blue Atlantic and of course, a bunch of wonderful blippers (and fluffy) that I have put up in the extra.

There are four of us still sitting around the kitchen table with our laptops humming but it's been a wonderful day.  Thank you again.
