Wandering off in the field having finally escaped! Lovely to see this morning!

Looking out of the window at the rat trap under the bird feeder I thought that the colour and shape weren't right for even the largest rat. Poor thing, this lovely hedgehog  was stuck in there and couldn't extricate itself! It wasn't easy to dismantle the innards of the trap for him to trot out either but with a few mealworms plus dog food, all of which he ignored, he managed to mosey out back the way he had gone in. Clambering over the wall into the sunny field, both of us, I got a few shots before he tunnelled into the long grass.
