Colchicum speciosum 'Album'

I've seen many varieties of what I call autumn crocus but this white one was a new variety .... much larger and sturdier that the lilac varieties.

We bought one rather expensive bulb which L planted in the Elie garden .... time will tell if we made a good purchase or not.

There are still one or two Red Admiral butterflies flitting about looking for just the right flowers that are still in bloom.
