RED-BACKED SHRIKE

So exciting was the appearance of this bird that some people climbed on roofs for a better look. I stayed in the field below and saw it, only a few feet away from the farm gate I impaled myself upon in 2016. Ah, the memories, some will always stay fresh in my mind. Even if I can't remember what I did yesterday.

They were actually on a big bank behind the house, but it didn't look like that from my angle.
