I went walking with Derbyshire Dales Ramblers today, and while waiting for the off these two hens wandered down the street, went through the gate and immediately began eating the begonias. Within minutes the flowers were all over the ground and the once pretty pot was looking very ragged!
The walk began from Hartington and passed Chrome Hill and Parkhouse Hill well to the right before circling round to Longnor and back to the start.
I know quite a few members of this group and I was asked if I'd like to walk hut to hut in the Austrian Alps next autumn with Elizabeth and a friend... which sounds good, but it's a long time off so let's wait and see.
