My dear friend and old drawing tutor Mike G came to stay today.

We met at Euston (grim, grim) and walked through dusty Bloomsbury to the BM to see 'I Object' a survey of objects of dissent from the collections, selected by Ian Hislop.
Like naughty boys, we revelled in this subversive show....illuminating and entertaining, I recommend it.

Later, across town and very different but just as good was Renzo Piano's exhibition at the Royal Academy...a rich and seductive demonstration of this master builder's art. The Pompidou Centre remains my favourite - brave, robust and sexy

Back home I cooked fish chowder, we drank ourselves a little drunk and sailed away.
