Victoria Crowe is a local artist of national standing - wonderful portraits in national galleries, that sort of thing.

Much of the inspiration for her work comes the local landscape, it's winter light and some of the characters who have understood that landscape. Italy figures prominently too.

A book has been written about her work and the Scottish launch was tonight at the Dancing Light Gallery. After her illuminating talk, she signed copies of her book. Including one for us.

I'd like to say that I wanted the artist's hand to be prominent, separate, dynamic, ...... You know the truth.
