Evening walk by the canal.

I helped this morning with the school coffee morning to raise funds for Macmillan cancer support before heading home and having a few quiet hours with Henry playing and doing housework. After school Theo had a couple of friends over as a favour for their Mum and then later we went for a walk along the canal and ate out at the Barge Inn next to the canal.
We saw lots of wildlife including a kingfisher (amazingly as the boys were less than quiet!) and the very kind waiter helped rescue the toy telescope that Henry dropped in the canal - thankfully it floated and the waiter had a fishing net! Today's photo is of the tree canopy lit up by the evening sunshine - I'm trying to savour the last of the light evenings before they disappear for the winter.
