Sheep and Sanda Islands from Carskey Bay

11.9C with bright sunny spells and some blustery showers. Wind NW/WNW to 28 mph with gusts to 41 mph.

Grocery shopping.

We took my little car and drove the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach and Kiel to Carskey Bay. The waves were spectacular today. Crashing into the beach and running up the sand.

Just one or two very short showers as we walked from one end to the other and back. The light through the waves was amazing, lighting up the breakers in lovely milky green tones. Fergus had a good run about, disappearing into the distance for a while then reappearing and playing chases with another dog which was walking along the beach with a couple. He soon got fed up since the dog couldn't keep up with his running round and round and up and down.

There was a good double rainbow over the farmland to the back of the beach.
Two big seals hung around offshore, bobbing up and down in the waves and watching the humans and the dogs. They followed us for quite a while as we walked back along the beach.

Later Apothecary7 was painting.
Blue Rose Code was the soundtrack to the afternoon.

DMC-LX7 f/3.2 1/1600 sec. ISO-80 11mm (35mm focal length 55mm)

Note 1: Blips from our holiday week will be posted tomorrow ... probably :-)
We were walking up hills, along a canal, and visiting Ben's beach (... Local Hero!).

Note 2: A good win for Europe in the Ryder Cup !
