Mail is Up

Dialysis put paid to my plans of meeting up regularly with my friend Jules in London.  So we decided to give a Sunday a go instead.

The train services did their best to disrupt my plans by being 40 minutes late, and then there were engineering works on one of the underground lines which meant I had to work out the best route to get there.  I don't think Sunday is a good day to be in London.

However, the trip to the Postal Museum was blooming marvellous!  We went to the Mail Rail section first.  It's quite a tight fit into the little tube train but the journey is well worth it.  You get a commentary as you travel and then you stop at a couple of stations where a film plays and gives more history on the Mail Rail.  Brilliantly done!  The Exhibition element was also good, seeing how the postal service developed from humble beginnings.  An excellent day out!
