Cannes Cinema, Cote d' Azur

Today we took a trip to Cannes.

I have to say that, apart from the expensive shops, hotels and marina, the sea front and beach felt a bit like Morecambe in November.....without the illuminations! Everything was closed up for maintenance and the beach was lined for miles with bright blue 1 tonne builder's bags of sand.

Clearly, once the film festival is over Cannes goes back to sleep.

That said we had an interesting wander around the old town, saw the Cinema Hall of Fame with the palm prints on the pavement.

The cinema had this interesting mural on the wall, which rather took my fancy.
