Fernando was a well-known vagabond dog who lived in the city of Resistencia, province of Chaco, Argentina, in the 1950s and early 1960s. He became known among the inhabitants of the city for frequenting bars and concerts attended by musicians, artists and politicians of the capital died on May 28, 1963 to be run over by a car in the square in front of Government House.
His remains were buried in the village of "El fogón de los arrieros", a museum in the city. There you can read an epitaph that says "To Fernando, a little white dog who, wandering through the streets of the city, woke up in many hearts a beautiful feeling"

It is said that his burial was the busiest in the history of the city.
