When Fergus went to Mallaig

(and saw Ben's beach at Camusdarach)

Drove out the 'Road to the Isles', passing a very busy Glenfinnan on the way to Mallaig. We had a wander round Mallaig and had lunch at The Tea Garden Cafe. The fish and seafood is very good there.

We spent the afternoon making the journey back, with detours to Morar and Arisaig. In particular off the road near Morar we went to look for Camusdarach beach, where scenes from Local Hero were shot. There is a small car park and a rough path along behind the dunes which leads to several beaches separated by small rocky headlands. Lovely white sandy beaches with views across to Eigg, Rum, and Skye.
