The annotated Man

It started with a tattoo of his blood group and his allergy to penicillin. But, over the years, he added hundreds of annotations documenting his failing body and his thoughts, feelings and attitudes. Towards the end, he added in unmissable ink across his face the instruction that he was under no circumstances to be resuscitated.
