Looking down, Luxembourg City

A busy day of sightseeing today, including a night time wander in Luxembourg City. To be honest, most of the day was spent in Trier, Germany's oldest city (according to the people of Trier!). The birthplace of Karl Marx, it's an old Roman centre and has some beautiful old buildings, both Roman and from various times since then. It's a UNESCO World Heritage site, so there's plenty to see. See the extra shots for a few from the Imperial Baths, the Porta Nigra, Constantine Basilica (rebuilt after being bombed in WW2 and one of the best historical and theological explanations I've seen in their display for tourists), and the Liebfrauenkirche (the Cathedral was closed for a concert rehearsal).
