Sad to hear the news about Charles Aznavour while I was in Paris. ‘France’s Sinatra’ was a magical voice of my youth. This is a busy week for the French capital, hosting both the biennial motor show and Paris fashion week. Sadly the motor show is a pale shadow of its former self, with 13 motor manufacturer absentees, fewer show halls occupied and lots of empty space in those that are, in a show that is five days shorter than usual. Changing buyer habits and the internet are making car shows less essential than they once were.
