Forest of Dean

The first day of a short trip to the Forest of Dean with the local walking group. The weather was good and we arrived early afternoon for a stroll through the forest looking at the local sculpture trail. It was a rather lovely setting as it was quite a long stroll searching for the sculptures in the quiet of the forest with the sun streaming through.

This exhibit used old railway tracks with carved inlay. It represents the historic colliery railway that ran through here. The extra is of stained glass entitled cathedral which was also in a great setting.
