Windswept

A very breezy walk above Gruissan, with a fine panorama when we got to the top. The pink and white squares on the left are salt pans, and the distant hills are the Pyrenees. It wasn't too strenuous as walks go, but because it's nearly an hour's drive away I didn't get home till 7 o'clock, whereupon I had to shower, change, and rush out again as we were invited to dinner with M and D.

I know M from having met her commuting to Oxford on the train in the 1990s; it turned out we both worked for different bits of Blackwell's. She's since moved to Scotland and although we've been in touch regularly,  we haven't seen each other in maybe 15 years, so it was certainly good to catch up. They've spent a week on a narrowboat on the canal du Midi and are now chilling out in a gite and exploring the area.

Oh, you want news of the baguettes? See extra :) They weren't quite as good as the ones we did with Eric, but they were pretty damn fine. So satisfying.
