Monarchs at work

More butterflies at work - almost makes me look forward to going in the office.... 

Some interesting observations - it was cooler on Monday - and when I took those photos at 1:30 or 2 - the butterflies were so still - not completely still but not fluttering as much and I had no trouble getting shots.  Also the light was straight down on them so the illumination was perfect.

Today I went out at about 9:30 am and it was already hot and muggy - and the butterflies were very flitty - I had to up the ISO and the shutter speed.  Also the sun was coming in at an angle and there were more shadows - The effect was interesting  -
