When I come back to Shetland after being away for a couple of weeks you appreciate once more how open, some would say bleak, the Shetland landscape is. It’s not all due to our latitude as our ten days in Norway were also at 60 degrees north with plenty of colourful trees to be seen. No it’s down to how exposed we are on these narrow islands with no protection ftom the wind.
I see we can no longer be put in a box. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-45733111 While it is sometimes annoying I don’t end to side with the Ordnance Surveys comments.
