Our cunning plan
Back in 1941, with the enemy at the door, the beaches on the East coast of Britain were rapidly fortified with all manner of pillboxes, tank traps and the like.
A little known but cunning plan was to decorate them with spiders in the hope that at least some of the invading horde would be arachnophobes.
