Pictorial blethers

Urban art

This utilitarian concrete wall runs along a strange little road from Ocean Terminal in Leith to the edge of the new development around Newhaven Harbour. Until recently, it presented a very bleak face indeed, with the weedy area along it choked with litter and the wall itself the epitome of neglect.

Now both sides of the wall are covered with graffiti-style artwork and the roadside litter is gone - the latter thanks to a community effort. I think it’s a remarkable transformation, though Mr PB wasn’t over-keen on the artwork.

Whaddya think?
